I was just looking through http://www.bmwfilms.com, and then I was thinking back to the most recent James Bond movies, and I realized that BMW very oftens puts their cars in movies as a marketing technique.

At http://www.bmwfilms.com, it seems that BMW is producing a quintet of short films featuring their automobiles. I think this is a great idea, but it would be amazing if they took it a step further (i.e., full-length motion picture playing at a theater near you).

Could you imagine how sweet it would be if there was a full length movie featuring all types of BMW's (read: all types of automobile manufacturers)? Not only would this be amazing to watch if the direction and car sequences were exhilarating, but it would also, if done correctly be a great marketing campaign for BMW automobiles.

I think BMW is on the right track with these short films. I can't wait to see how they turn out. Supposedly the guy who directed "Ronin" is directing one of the short films, so I'm expecting good things.
