replace the radio? it sounds like a lot of work. but i'll ask my local dealer what he can do to fix the problem.

"the antenna does not 'look' too sophisticated." a word is missing there as you'd guessed correctly :) you probably have seen the antennas on 3-series which are so tiny and even cute. i am thinking about putting one of those on my coupe if the replacement is doable. :)
