Considering a Boxster S -- opinions wanted on deal (archive)

the Porsche dealer has offered me $30,000.00 for my car (sight unseen)and his car at a $4k discount... my car has about 42K miles on it (a '00) and is likely worth something more like $24-25K... despite what seems like a really good deal, I was prepared to pass and keep my coupe (rattles and all) b/c my wife and I love it so much... then today my gas guage, speedometer and odometer stopped working; this in addittion to other small problems I've had makes me reconsider.

What do you guys think... should I walk away from a headache now and try to find another M Coupe (preowned) in a couple of years in light of such a good deal? Please assum the deal is legit (the car's only got 23 miles on it so I'm assuming -- and I've asked -- that the Boxster S has not been damaged or anything).
