The last time I was at Thunder Hill, some redneck moron in a red convertible Camero SS was doing the exact same things in the turns. He went as far as to brake AT THE APEX of numerous turns, turn one being the worst of them! Needless to say, he was all over the place and I almost hit him a few times, in spite of the fact I was keeping my distance. Its not so easy to compensate for someone braking at the apex of a 80mph turn other than to do the same thing. He would then proceed to jam on the gas in the straights and leave us all straining to catch up. Nobody dared pass him in a turn 'casue he was driving like such an idiot. To make things even worse, he was cocky as hell at the download meetings and wore a race suit, just like your Elan "racer" did. After complaining to the track officials, he was demoted to a lower group and assigned an instructor, which made me very happy. In spite of this demotion, he continued with his cocky-ass attitude, cruising up and down pit lane with a cigar in his mouth.

Then, to my dismay, at the next event (held at Laguna Seca) I saw him driving just as poorly as ever in an older primer colored Camero. Maybe he crashed his SS ;)

When will these people learn? Not being able to drive is one thing - good instruction can fix that. Poor track manners and a cocky attitude are another - neither are welcome at the track and both harm your ability to become a better driver.

Thanks for hearing me out and I hope that my rant didn't bother y'all. At least you know to look out for a red Camero SS convertible or a primer colored 80's Camero next time you're at the track!
