wow. what a DAY that was !!!!!
we won't comment on the "advice" I gave Mike early in the morning, but I will comment on the fact that my car felt the best ever. So neutral, even at 60mph in 3rd gear.
I started out with a 64.462, and my only competition, Hector in his RX7TT, got a 64.467. Wow, .005 seconds apart after our 1st run.
My 2nd run, I improved to a 63.9xx, while Hector got an AWESOME 62.6xx !!!!!!!!!!
I felt so discouraged after I heard the news. I was like "no WAY, how can I improve by 1.5 secs ?????
All I had to do was concentrate, and believe in my NEW suspension. I pushed it right from the start, starting almost like a ProSolo event (high-rev).
When I was finished with my run, I saw a "62.311" on the digital display. I was astonished, and so happy at the same time. The ball was now in Hector's court. I quickly unstrapped myself and got out of the car to watch him. He had a very clean run. At the end, he got a "62.283". WOW. I was SHOCKED. He beat me by 0.028 seconds !!!!!!
But he deserved it. He was the better driver today. Went and congratulated him, and off I went to the Cheesecake Factory with the Z man :-)

I know that with my old suspension, I would've gotten easily a 65 or 66. WHAT A DIFFERENCE these shocks made.

I just wanted to also mention on this board that Bullet Perf. Engr in Costa Mesa, CA. did an GREAT job setting up my car. Kudos to Chris and his team.

Mike, next time I PROMISE I'll give you a better advice ;-)

And by the way, where were everyone of you who were supposed to attend this event? Steve K.? Rodger?

Oh, and we won't talk about the lunch feast afterwards ;-) YUMMY !!!!!

Karl

KICKED ASS TODAY!

In SK1, I was the first looser - 2nd place. Was beat my an M3 by close to 2 seconds! Never in my life have I lost by that much :( But I did beat the Vette with its 2 drivers (by the Index, not RAW this time, sadly) and all the rest of the 10+ other drivers (including an S2000)!

But Karl - WOW! Where I got a 68.3, he got down to a 62.3!!!! But sadly, he lost to the RX7TT by .1 seconds!!!! This was the BEST he ever did, and that new suspension of his was near perfection. Karl has really come a long way in such a short time. But then, he did have me to give pointers as my group ran before him, . . . . but we won't talk about his one certain pointer for me, ha ha ha - he already paid for that one :)

Maybe, just maybe if I HAD woken up and went to Bimmerfest, everything might have been different . . . .
