My son has a Yamaha "R1" also and has let me ride it on a few occasions. That is one bike you MUST respect or you'll die quickly. Even though the Hyabusa (sp?) Suzuki and Kawi's new ZX-12 (or is it 13?) are running high-9's thru the quarter, the R1 will easily leave 'em in the twisties. Only Honda's CBR929RR and the new Suzuki GSXR1000 (I think that's the model) give the R1 competition otherwise. Oh ... and also watch out for "dp" on his Duck!!! :)
