Saw the same thing in Amarillo, Tx, in March with six mororcycle cops, on interstate 40. Saw it again in Albequerque, NM. Spent the month of March driving around the Southwest in my 2001 3.0 coupe. I have never seen so much traffic speed control over Texas, NM, Az, and Ca highway traffic.

FWIW While returning home westbound on I-76 thru Akron, I noticed a city cop had a vehicle stopped going eastbound. Nothing unsual, then I came upon another stopped vehicle about half mile later, still not unsual. It's spring and the bears are out of hibernation I thought. Then a mile later OMG! there he was....stopped sideways in the vee between an on-ramp and the highway with Laser gun pointed at traffic....and....backed up by SIX!! cruisers all lined up on the side of the ramp as if at the ready in the starting gates to pursue their prey. UGLEE Scene. Is this called traffic enforcement or revenue generation?
