- for the most part. true, sports cars shouldn't have stereos, period. mine don't. but the coupe is more of a GT, which means an occasional commute or lengthy stretch on the superslab is inevitable. in those situations, a bit of music to pick you up is good. being used to decent equipment in the house, the lack of midrange in the stock system is irritating. it's got high and (some, muddy) low - but nothing in the middle. it's the sonic equivalent of 'racing stripes' - all show and no substance. that's why i upgraded the stereo in my first coupe. nothing excessive, just $300 or so worth. stopped it from annoying me, and that was enough... but then for a while the original coupe was my only car. now that i have more options, when i drive the new one the stereo will just stay off. it's a perfect upgrade :)
