dyno should have very little loss. I was confused by a couple posts that stated that the Mustang dyno cause a 15% power loss relative to other types. That doesn't make sense.


I do agree that most manual transmission cars suffer from less than 15% power loss, higher if AWD and higher with automatic.

But I do know it to be true, for some reason the way the dyno is set up or how it calculates it they come up with more of a loss than a dnojet type dyno. Thats why the HP and TQ numbers on a mustang dyno are usually a little lower on a mustang dyno as compared to a dynojet. Can someone with some more techincal knowledge on this subject explain better?
