You can look at the other dynos at AA and it does seem to add up. They have dynos for M5's and M3's which when compared to comparable Dynojet runs are always lower.

dyno should have very little loss. I was confused by a couple posts that stated that the Mustang dyno cause a 15% power loss relative to other types. That doesn't make sense.


I do agree that most manual transmission cars suffer from less than 15% power loss, higher if AWD and higher with automatic.

But I do know it to be true, for some reason the way the dyno is set up or how it calculates it they come up with more of a loss than a dnojet type dyno. Thats why the HP and TQ numbers on a mustang dyno are usually a little lower on a mustang dyno as compared to a dynojet. Can someone with some more techincal knowledge on this subject explain better?
