There were no "///M coupes" to drive at any of the loacl dealerships when I ordered mine (April'99), but there was a 2.8L (193hp) Z3 Coupe available. I drove it and was really impressed, and could only imagine what the 240hp Z3M would be like. When I first drove my "///M", it's been smiles ever since!!!
