Just got back from my first Autox event. It was held at the MetroZoo parking lot here in Miami, Fl. We had 3 ///M Coupes running and 1 ///M roadster. The event was well organized and ran real smooth. My best time was a 44.885. I ran in the ASP class (modified stock). The winner in class was a full race preped Porsche 944 Turbo then a dinan stage 1 susp. and CAIed roadster, then a Vette Z06, and then me. I am very happy with my time considering it was my first time. I ran on street tires (contisports) with the Dinan CAI, and software, Strut brace. The other stock ///M coupes were not too far off my times 1 ran with Michelin pilot sports and the other on the stock Dunlaps. UNDERSTEER was the rule of the day for me, but again this is the first time I really had the oportunity to go all out in the car without worry of J.P. Officer giving me a hard time. Left the ASC on first run and got kind of lost on the course ran a 49.321. Then I turned ASC off and ran a 45.432. Third run was after the lunch break and I ran a 46.333 the last run was the smoothest with a time of 44.885. All in all I can say I AM HOOKED!!! I want new tires and rims for Autox only and I am definatly lloking into at least stage 1 suspension (dinan or equal).
