I am not an expert. This is my third season autocrossing an M Coupe. I also started on the stock Dunlops, yes they are garbage. I then moved to the BFG GForce T/A KD. There was a Vette that was consistently beating me and he was running the KD's. After getting the KDs he and I traded wins the rest of the year.

Last year I moved to Hoosier R tires. Glad I waited the year. I believe street tires are great learning tools in that your weaknesses are much more apparent with street tires.

I am now in need of another set of street tires, or at least rears if I stay with the KDs. I too am interested in the Kumhos but don't know anyone who has tried them yet. I think I am going to just replace my rears with KDs and wait to see what others think of the Kumhos. Any chance you can keep the Dunlops for awhile longer? You are going to be beating on your tires big time at first get all the wear you can out of the Dunlops.
