I took the first part of the motorcycle license course on Thursday (all classroom), and woke up at the crack of dawn today for actual motorcycle driving. It was hot as hell out on the range, but that was my only complaint. The instructors were great, making sure to go over everything you need to know to operate a motorcycle. FINE-C, SIPDE, SLLR, and many other acronyms to remember. Anyway, it felt great taking just 90 degree turns, leaning, rolling on the throttle, upshifting into 2nd at 20-25mph, downshifting, and repeating. We also did some more advanced things e.g. swerving, stopping on a turn, etc. Tomorrow is the 2nd day of motorcycle lessons followed by a 50 question multiple choice test. I'll hopefully be going to the DMV on Tuesday to update my license :)
