as a guess of course, is the fact that in drag racing you drop the pressure on the driving end to increase traction. this is because in a straight line, sidewall deformation is not a factor (unless you're talking wrinkle drag slicks, where it's actually of help). so in this case, lower pressure = bigger contact patch = more traction, end of story. i assume you've seen my post on the original thread as to why it doesn't work when it comes to cornering on stock suspension/wheels/tires.

but of course, ultimately, take your own coupe and play with it a bit. in your own words (and general consensus), whatever works for you is the right thing to do :)

looking forward to putting all the theories to the pavement on the 9th!!
