Well Scott, thanks for the message. I definitely
love both styles, just the M's a little better. I
guess it's just a matter of money. I don't have
the 31k-35k to spend on an M coupe (there is
a guy in the San Jose Mercury Paper selling a '99
black M coupe with 28k for $27,988, but that might
be a typo?????), but I do have the $24k to buy a
Z coupe (I think it's quite a nice deal, but just because the owner is a close friend). But
the prices in the Bay Area are quite insane. A
BMW dealer in San Jose is selling a '99 M Coupe
for $34,995, while just down the street, a BMW
dealer in San Fran is selling a '99 Z coupe for
the same price. Don't these guys ever check with
competition? The most inexpensive Z coupe I have
located (with the exception of my friend's BMW)
is in the $26,500-$27,500 neighborhood. The most
inexpensive M coupe is about $30,000, on ebay.
So yeah, I guess there's only a couple thousand
dollars in price difference.....

I guess my little beef is just the design. It
just looks like the license plate should fit right
below the hatchback release. But whatever. I'll
be happy with my Z coupe, and hopefully after some
exhaust, intake, and suspension mods, I can run
just behind you M boys. Maybe if Nasdaq picks up,
I can pop in a supercharger or something.

See you around.
