Look very carefully at the rear fender, just in front of the rear wheel. Sooner or later your going to get paint chips in this vulnerable area. I suggest the black magnetic fender guards from Z3 solutions or, better yet, one of the 3M paint protection film kits (i.e. X-pel, Invinca-shield or Stongard)

Just got my coupe three days ago (as noted in the post way down). I've been trying to find as many faq's as I can on the car (it's quirks, things to look for, how to care for it etc.) But haven't been soo successful.

So.. What are the main problems with the 2000 coupe?

What do I need to know about maintence/free dealer maintence?

What are the first "mods" (either relibility/protection/upgrade) that one would suggest?

Also lastly, here are my *specific* questions:

1) I've noticed that my m badges on the side look sorta faded, especially the red on them. In fact, the badge on the back doesn't even have any red on it!? Whats up with this? (warranty?)

2) I've noticed that my driver and pass windows seem to have fine scratches on them?! IS this from the seal on the door or did the previous owner do something to make this happen?

3) How often do these things need the oil changed, and where to buy extra oil?

That's all for now!! Thanks in advance!!
