I have been looking for this flat surfaced desert where all those car manufacturers filmed their commercials for LONG time.
And today, I have FOUND where it is and am very excited.
I was just wondering if anyone drove or passed by there before.

You're on the Bonneville Salt Flats-home of America's land speed meets during the third week in August. The salt is very bad for your car. It's also very rough at hi speeds until it's been scrapped for speed runs. The Utah Highway Patrol frowns on high speeds on the salt!
