Raise your tire pressure up over normal driving.
Ask questions during the novice walk through.
Ask questions before the event begins.
After you first run, try to pick one (and only one) place where you could be quicker and work on that on your second run.
Keep your head up so you not looking at the next cone, but sveral cones ahead on the course. Look at the next cone and you'll get lost on the course.
MOST OF ALL: have fun, it's a rush and thrill even if your times are slow compared the experienced. Seat time will make you faster, not mods, not the car, but seat time.
