I am in the east coast

Here is one of the BEST AutoX schools around. It was started in 94 by my friend Jim McKamey, but is now taken over by his partner Jean Kinser.

Check to see if they have an event in your area, or check with your local SCCA or NASA (car club, not aerospace, hahaha) to see if they offer the novice class and instruction like mine does.
