Between BMW, Chevy, and C&D, were talking about 1+ seconds of error. Geez! who can you trust.
I also noticed that Subaru was quoting 6.4 seconds for the WRX, and this was on the back cover of the issue of Car&Driver stating 5.8 seconds. Well, some other observant reader also picked up on this and commented on the discepancy in the readers letters section the following month. And that wasn't it; in that issue Subaru's ad now read 0-60 in 5.8 seconds*
* according to Car & Driver test results.
(The aterick and comment are part of the add now) Looks like a conflict of interests there.
...in their test methods and the numbers they quote. It would look bad if BMW said the M Roadster did a 4.5 0-60 time and no one could repeat that number.
