yes i know you should know this just by knowing the car, but i just thought it would be interesting to see it on a dial :). i really like the dials in the coupe, and i want more of them. hehe...

good point about the where to be looking when you need the torque ;)

if you're talking AVAILABLE torque, just look at the tach. besides, at the exact moment you have need of torque the last place you should be looking is the console! :)

if you want to know actual torque being developed at any moment, that's much harder. can be done (turbine copters have these gauges), but quite pricey - probably a couple K. involves putting a sensor in the drivetrain, for example at either end of the driveshaft. the value would be rather limited in a car. in copters the gauge is used to make sure components are not overstressed, because in some situations the engine is capable of putting out more torque than the rotor drive system can safely handle. not an issue here...
