Thanks for the post man. I have been trying to play Devils advocate and I can't really come up with any good reasons to stay away. I think the desire to pick up and do something different is the biggest factor.
Looks like ya'll have a pretty good enthusiasts base up there. As far as SIR goes, I can't wait to give it a shot. Hopefully you will beat the snot out of me on the track and that way I will to HAVE go more often!! I am doing a two day event this weekend at MotorSports Ranch. It is a 1.7mi closed track that some guy down here in Dallas built as kind of a Country Club for folks that don't golf. Actually if you don't race there is absolutely nothing else to do there, but that's besides the point. Anyway, thanks again for the post, I'll let you know if/when I know more.
