The other day while getting into my car I noticed a scrape on the lower valence panel (i.e. the plastic bit on the lower rear of the car that wraps between the two wheel wells). It is about two inches high and three long and at one end the paint is scraped through to the black plastic. Is this going to be a pain to get fixed? The plastic is a bit gouged but not too much.
I haven't brought it in anywhere to get it looked at (anyone have a good body shop to recommend in the D.C. suburban area? I'm in Gaithersburg) and am wondering if damage like that will entail replacing the entire piece. How do you fix gouged plastic bits??
I've never dealt with this before and any thoughts would be welcomed. Unlike dp's or JD's parking lot encounters this isn't too bad and the person probably didn't know (but I still wish people would pay attention!).
Thanks in advance for any advice.
cheers, John
