whoa! stumbled upon an autocross today in STL. (archive)

my wife and i were out riding our bikes on a bike trail out in the suburbs when we stumbled by the st.charles arena and they were holding an autocross there in the lot.

probably the funniest thing was watching the disparity in driver skill. i guess that was neat.

even neater was watching a fella lose it and take out 5 cones in his viper. while any fella in his yellow Z06 just romped all over the course. holy cow is that car a monster.

i wish it weren't so ugly so i could hop into one. it's a furious machine and the driver was undoubtedly the best one there, too.

no M's that i could see running. maybe i missed those flights. miatas were very nimble and also got much better times than integras, civics, and neons.
