'01 coupe with 1328 miles... and a '97 Supra TT (archive)

'01 M Coupe: by myself... no passenger
'97 Supra TT: my brother and his wife with left over food in the car.

Straight line... from a roll start (empty road... no one on the road for miles). I squeaked the wheel in first... shift at around 5k rpm to second. I passed my brother ('97 Supra TT... slightly mod: whatever that means) and then he floored it (he let me pass him intentionally). Shift from second to third at around redline... he about a car length back. Hit the rev limiter and shift to fourth... we are dead even. From then on... man... all I can do is watch the damn thing pull away and smell his exhaust (he has no cat). Again from around 80 onto 130... when i hit 130 he's about 1/4 to 1/2 mile in front. But overall, I like my car... at least it stood up (or gave it best shot) against the mod Supra!!! My e36 M3/4 had no chance with him (he gave me a 5 second head start and caught up with my around 100 mph). Just want to share my experience... I love the Coupe... it's for me... as the Supra is for my bro.
