But one note about the Yokohama A032R's; damn! that is one stiff sidewall!!! I hit the cone at the start of the course, which was something over a mile long. I didn't start hearing or feeling problems until I was nearly halfway around, so the air loss wasn't all that fast. When I did hear the rubbing I thought that I had picked up the cone and it had worked itself into a position where it was rubbing on right hand turns, but I backed off a little. I finished the run with only a minor decline (not loss!) of control in 80 something seconds (plus 2 for the cone...) FSTD was 69 something, and on my street tires the best I could do was a 78.9...An hour later, when my wife got there with the extra wheels and the jack, the tire was obviously flat, but still trying hard to hold the car off the ground. The polished Kinesis rim took no road damage during the balance of the AX run, though it did get a cosmetic dent where the valve stem whacked.
They aren't run-flats, but they are very sturdy tires...
Oh, and my 80.something +1 cone time was next to last. The raw time was probably 8th. Not bad for a flat...
