Was on a club tour Saturday. We took 22, Z3's to Northern Arizona on a 350 mile trip in high cool country to escape the summer heat for a day. I have the new rear Strong-Strut prototype on my 2000 ///M Roadster. The new Strong-Strut performed beautifully. Not only does it tighten up the rear of the car, I noticed for the first time since testing, the increased rigidity over RR crossings and washboarded roads.
Due to greatly reduced rear chassis flex, the steering is more responsive and "crisp." We're working on clearance issues to be certain the one design fits all models of the Z3 and becomes a simple, no hastle, bolt on installation. We're looking forward to completion of the first hand made production version and we'll post pictures of it on the message board and our web page. Anyone interested can email their request to be on the reservation list, no obligation of course. Price will be $340 complete with our premium "Galaxy" powder coat finish. Past customers of our front Strong-Strut will receive a $50 discount and new customers ordering both will also receive the $50 discount. The interest in the new rear Strong-Strut has been overwhelming as well as gratifying. More info as it develops.
