...reducing the amount of light the taillights put out is a safety issue. In rain and fog and snow, your visibility to others is reduced quite a bit with such lenses. Same in clear weather in any time of day. Your state vehicle laws spec how bright taillights have to be and virtually all of these grey lenses reduce the light below legal minimums.

But if your egos are more important than everybody's safety, then keep on lookin....

Should you get ticketed/fined for having taillights that aren't bright enough, remember this post...
