1) which R tires to get? Hoosiers? Yokos? Kumhos? BFG? Toyo? What have your experiences been with any of these brands recently?
2) which wheels should I get for street use? I already have a perfectly good set of 235/40 17 and 275/40 17 Toyo Proxes T1-S tires on my stock rims, and I would like to avoid being forced to toss them out by stepping up to 18s or 19s. Which wheels have y'all found that look nice and are 17x8 and 17x9 and have the proper offset for the M Coupe (8mm rear and 41mm front). How far off can I go with the offset before the wheels won't fit anymore? Will something like 13mm rear and 38mm front work? As far as aesthetics go, I love the "deep dish" look of the stock M Coupe wheels and would love to find a nice set that had this same feature. I also really dig the 2/3 piece look of something like a BBS RXII. What are your thoughts regarding my options? Anyone have pics of aftermarket 17's mounted on their car?
Thanks a ton for any advice you might be able to give.
Cheers,
Kevin

I've just started using the Kumhos and love them. Probably the best upgrade you can make for the track. The general consesus is the Kumhos are excellent track tires and the best for the buck.
As for 17" wheels that maintain the stock offsets, I am strongly considering the SSR Competition wheels. Check them out at Tire Rack. Expensive, but good looking and light, only about 14 pounds.
