1) which R tires to get? Hoosiers? Yokos? Kumhos? BFG? Toyo? What have your experiences been with any of these brands recently?

Hoosier and Kumho both say that their tires work best with a lot of negative camber; something we can't get without major mods to the car (the miminum is switching your front uprights left for right and vice versa.) I haven't heard anyone say good things about BFGs since the old R1s were discontinued.

For those reasons I went with Yokohama A032Rs; 235 front and 255 rear. So far they seem competative in the dry and the rocked at today's autocross. It was cool and rainy, but when I left I had FTD (and had already beaten the driver I was really worried about in SS, a guy with a long string of local championships in BSP in an '01 Z06.) I do have my car maxed out for camber, at a hair over -1 degree, and the temps across the tires after a run say they could use a little more, but I want to stay in Stock.

I ran old R1s and then Kumho's on my old CS Porsche, and I really liked the tires on that car, and I've heard others (here and live) say that they love 'em.

I can't help you with the wheels; I like the Kinesis K5s that I have, but I think they are too expensive (though they do look nice.) Pictures below in the thread with the Supertrapp picts.

Good luck!
David
