You dont want to keep the T1-s's for track use? You know my deal is that I am going to get ride of both sets of wheels at some point and then go with a single set of 18's... 8.5 and 10... 245/35 in front and 285/30 (or maybe 295/30) in rear....

Probably T1-s's...

So, I've decided to dedicate my slightly scuffed stock M Coupe wheels to track sessions and install some R compound tires on them while I'm at it. This brings up two questions:

1) which R tires to get? Hoosiers? Yokos? Kumhos? BFG? Toyo? What have your experiences been with any of these brands recently?

2) which wheels should I get for street use? I already have a perfectly good set of 235/40 17 and 275/40 17 Toyo Proxes T1-S tires on my stock rims, and I would like to avoid being forced to toss them out by stepping up to 18s or 19s. Which wheels have y'all found that look nice and are 17x8 and 17x9 and have the proper offset for the M Coupe (8mm rear and 41mm front). How far off can I go with the offset before the wheels won't fit anymore? Will something like 13mm rear and 38mm front work? As far as aesthetics go, I love the "deep dish" look of the stock M Coupe wheels and would love to find a nice set that had this same feature. I also really dig the 2/3 piece look of something like a BBS RXII. What are your thoughts regarding my options? Anyone have pics of aftermarket 17's mounted on their car?

Thanks a ton for any advice you might be able to give.

Cheers,

Kevin
