At the ALMS BMW corrall I was talking to some BMW club racers, and they said that Dinans coupe wasnt probably going to do well, because it is a shortwheel based car, twitchy, and not very forgiving...

Just got another recent reply from Miler's son why no M Coupes are in the ALMS series:

*********
I asked my dad this question and his answer was, "Its hard to make a good race car out of them."

This makes sense since it would be hard to have a very functional rear wing (me: I would assume because of the regulations regarding this issue). The Z/M coupe is essentially a stationwagon, and thats only been raced really well once in touring cars.
