I moved over to the states from London last year and bought a Coupe - may bring it back someday if I ever come back myself - I think one other guy on this board did that so there's at least one US Coupe in the UK - dunno what the prod figures are for the Euro version in the UK or Europe for that matter - US sales figures just topped the 2k mark.
Right now its too much fun driving here - much less traffic, wider roads, cheap petrol (30p/L hehehe so flooring it it really is a cheap thrill)
But next time I'm back in town you can take me for a spin :)
Take a pic of it on Richmond Bridge and I might even get homesick
Have been watching the board for many months(from across the pond in the UK) and thought it was about time I made a post now that my Cosmos/Black Coupe has gone to '5500 Assembly Complete'!!! Painful to know it is built and I have to wait yet more time for it to make the boat trip across the atlantic.
Coupe is a rare site in the UK. I live in London and have only seen one 2001 and my dealer (Park Lane BMW) has only supplied one (and that was to Frank Williams son and I guess he would get special priveledges - F1 team and all that).
The enthusiasm on the board was one of the things that persuaded me to place an order. So thanks guys and I look forward to joining the clan in a few weeks (not months any more!!!!)
Seriously excited of London..
ps. Will be sure to post some pics of Coupe with suitable landmark backdrops for all you heritage starved yanks (only joking!!)
