a whole lot of work, very difficult to do right, will reduce resale value to zero. monster motorsports used to do this to miatas, it took them a long time to get it right, and doubled the price of the car. just getting the electronics of the car to talk to the engine is a MAJOR undertaking!!!

for 1.9 the way to go is DA supercharger. the 3.0 puts out same power and torque as early-90's 5.0 mustang GT, so you're not likely to gain much except a huge increase in fuel consumption. you could supercharge the 3.0 to get better performance than the current svt cobra, for less money and effort and still at least maintain resale value (won't increase it any).

bottom line, for the individual tinkerer cross-brand engine swaps are a thing of the past. it takes resources of a sizeable company to do it these days, and costs megabucks.
