I always thought that the stock amp was 5 channels, front LR, rear LR, and sub.

I thought that the front LR channels were split by in-line crossovers at the speakers themselves, and that the sub only needed one channel for each side to drive the mid/high/tweeters there... am I wrong?

Keep in mind that the coupe has more than just 4 speakers. I mounted my amp in the CD changer location as well... beware, there isn't much room in there.. and my amp just BARELY fits. You've got 6 channels + Sub in the car. Door Kick speakers, door mid/high, and rear. You would have to run RCA cables up to the head unit as there are no RCA cables going to the stock amp now. Running power to the new amps is really easy since the battery is in the back. Beware, in my coupe and a friends coupe, the factory wires attached to the stock amp had ZERO slack.. so it was fun getting certain elements put together correctly.

If you run into any snags, let me know, I might be able to help.
