If you read the post I said its not a ram air because it doesn't feed air directly to the intake. The only words I could think to describe it was that, I clearly stated it was not actually a ram air, the way to do that is by using a naca duct above the intake like skyline gtrs do. I do know aboutthe duct in the front since I have had the entire front of the car off and looked at it.

As for there being no cooling benifit I would have to disagree with you, that type of duct has been in use for years on many cars Subarus to name just one. They do work, I don't know what you mean about the vaccum effect I would think there are many places for the air to escape on the bottom of the engine.

I would think the air fed through the scoop would pass over the engine and esape out the bottom this should have some cooling effect.

All things aside it was done as a mainly show mod since I do not autocross the car ever or drag it that often. Any benifits are just a bonus.
