although the comments i get from the unwashed are overwhelmingly positive. examples:

- north cal gas station, 11pm, guy in a pickup truck: "wow, man - what is it? i didn't know they made these. what a car! i just gotta have one! how much?"

- scenic overlook in columbia river gorge, 1pm, a group of teenage girls: "awesome car! what is it? it's SOOO COOOL!"

- coworker (an agressive sportbike rider who owns a 929RR), after an 8/10ths demo ride: "WOW. WOW."

the closest extinct car? TVR Griffith.

But then again, uniqueness is a two edged sword.
TVR? Good one. How about the Mazda Cosmo?
