I tried a whole bunch of different lines through 5 and 5a, and think that you're spot on about taking 5a wide and then coming in. The question for me was: how wide? It felt like somewhere in the middle of the track was smoothest, but I could be wrong. Check out this movie and tell me if I'm going far enough wide. I have a feeling a little wider would be good, and that exiting the top of 5 all the way to the right hand burm would help that happen. You're also dead on about not going into 2nd. I stayed in 3rd the last 2 laps of the day for turn 5 and wished I'd been doing that all day long. Doh! Oh well, next time.
Thanks again for the pointers and I hope to see you at a track day sometime soon!
Cheers,
Kevin
