You gotta drive Mt. Palomar..... (archive)

at least the aliso viejo/irvine part. many surface streets with 55-60mph limits, long sweeping curves, freeways wide enough to make interesting moving chicanes... i have a 15-minute commute here and use full throttle all the time. pretty much at every light. getting something like 14 mpg on last 2 tanks ;) yeah, i could use a few more curves (ortega run tomorrow ought to get me a fix of that). still, hard to think of a better place to have this engine at one's call...
sorry, just came back from a drive, taking out the residual adrenaline on the keyboard :)

and Mesa Grande Road. Very little traffic and cops compared to Ortega. Shoot me an email and I'll let you know next time we take our next trip. I go with a group of Bimmer drivers every once in awhile. Also, give Mulholland in Malibu a shot.. lots of fun
