How would wider tires change the diff ratio? The Overall change in diameter is about 1%, which could not lead to a rear end of 3.15. Unless of course he has a 2001, which comes with a 3.15 ratio.
my buddy just put on 265/40 on the rear and 235/45 on the front...the new rear tire size effectively changes the rear end ratio to a 3.15
