Ok Thunderhill is on for September 4 & 5th!!! Can't wait to share the
track with you all!!! Attached you will find the reg confirmation.
Please read carefully..also attached is the Tech Sheet for those of you
that need one.
A couple of reminders here...If you have a Miata, you must have a roll
bar, Porsche Boxster, Z-3, S2000 are ok witht he factory hoops. You also
need to have your car inspected at a licensed automotive facility..ie:
dealer or independent garage. Please refer to the attached Tech Sheet.
Those of you that have participated in one of my events this year,
please make sure you bring the Tech Sheet that was used in the prior
event, to the track with you and present it to the Tech Inspector at the
track. PCA or BMW Club Tech Sheets are OK as long as they are not over
60 days old. Please make sure your car is in top mechanical
condition...especially the cooling system as it gets pretty hot up in
Willows!!! Also, if you have an open faced helmet, please make sure you
wear some eye protection, ie: sunglasses, goggles etc.
Unfortunately we are running short on people for this event. I guess the
economy has struck us all...so in order to limit my out of pocket
expenses..I will only be providing water, coffee and sodas. Lunch can be
bought at the track for $8.00. Sorry for the inconvience. If you know of
anyone that would like to have some fun with us, please let them know
and have them contact me directly.
Please make sure you have made a reservation at the Golden Pheasant Best
Western Inn (please see Accomodations in the reg confirmation). Just
tell them that you are part of the Miata event and use my name for the
discount. Rooms are limited (you all read the previous post on the room
availability now didn't you?)
Also please let me know if you'd all be interested in a pre-track day
dinner at Franco's. Those of you that have done Thunderhill with us
before know that it's a pretty good (inexpensive) place for dinner and
drinks. If there are enough of you that would like to have dinner
together, I'll arrange it..but I have to know ASAP how many of you want
to do this. I need to know by Tuesday August 28, 2001.
Raffle prize at this event are somne really Kewl Toyo Gear (watches,
hats, shirts and of course..a set of Toyo T1-S tires!!!) $20.00 buys 10
tickets. Also LS 5.0 T-Shirts will be available for purchase for
$15.00.and all $'s go to the Cancer Hospice Foundation!!!!
Any questions please let me know via e-mail or call me at 408-738-3290.
Thank you and see ya all soon!!!
Aaron
This sounds good, is this a driver education event or just open track day? What is the cost and how many participants are there?
Thanks much.
