Whining noise (archive)

Hi all,

I'm experiencing a whining noise after hard braking, and I don't think the ABS is causing it. It might be Steering related, cause the steering is a little tighter when I hear the noise. I can also hear it for about a minute after braking, usually when I rev the engine, and then it goes away. I checked my steering fluid and it looks low. Can I use any steering fluid or do I have to get it from the dealer? Anyone experience this before? Should I take it in ASAP?

I had to cancel going to the local SCCA event today fearing something might be wrong with my baby! But yesterday in practice I finally got to see another Coupe at an autox event! It wasn't an M, but still a Coupe. Didn't get his name and I'm not sure if he's on the board. This event was in Tampa FL. If you're out there let me know!
