If you dont want to go harness bar route try a suction cup mount from hamma. Costs abut 80 bucks but works great. We use a sony trv10 and have had no problems when aggressively driving/filming.

go here:

Once we decide to film on track during an scca event then you would need to get a bar.

Hope this helps

Any tips on mounting a camera in the coupe? What mount? On a harness bar? What brand?

An archive search pointed me in the direction of HMS Motorsport for a harness bar (is it available yet?) and I/O Port Racing for the mount. Any more recent developments or other recommendations?

How big are your cameras? My Sony trv900 is really great (3 ccds, pro-sumer), but I'm worried it might be a bit big/heavy for the mount.
