i have driven around town with a V1 because i wanted to see what the directional was like.

it's okay.

the escort 8500 shares electronics with the beltronics 950/980 (same parent company you know). street value for the 980, which rates as highly as the escort8500 is about $230 now.

i wish valentine would wise up and lower their prices or come out with another version already. the tremendous size of the v1 combined with lack of range superiority means it's an extra $100 to $150 most people don't have to spend anymore
