Z3 Roadsters & Coupes (and all M variants thereof) are built in the Spartanburg plant in South Carolina.

Initially, the M division in Germany had wanted to build them internally at their little workshop as they have with nearly all the M cars in the past (ie: the cars would be shipped from SC to Garching in Munich where they would undergo the transformation before heading back to the States - this proved too costly for obvious reasons).

The Z3/MZ3 and X5 line are built in the good old United States. You should expect (from what I've read) about a 2 week delivery timeframe from the moment it left the factory in SC.
