I understand the cold-running pollution issues, but the motor was at full, normal operating temperature. Oil temp was over 200. I know because I had checked the temp, done some hard acceleration just before the problem occurred, come to a stop (idle was fine there), went about 200 yards to the next light then had the problem.

This is definitely not normal and seems like it could be a real hazard. While I was getting into the brakes the motor wanted to rev to 2300-2500 rpm, preventing me from slowing.

Has anyone else experienced this? How was it resolved?

Mike
