'00 M-Coupe vs '02 (archive)

I test drove a new '02 M-Coupe. It had an extremely rough ride, as if had bump stops in the springs, or no springs at all.

Did the suspension components/calibration change significantly for the S54 engine? Or do you think the shipping blocks (in the springs) were still in the car?

Is there an optional rear-end ratio? Engine rpm's were lower at any given speed than "00 coupe.
