Z8 Production Date (archive)

Does anyone out there have legitimate production date? Back in October 99 I gave my dealer a deposit to be the first at his dealership for a Z8. Three weeks ago I was given the production date of this car, I was shocked! Has anyone else had a call from his or her dealer with a confirmed production year and a month from BMW of North America?
