Z8 ? BMW could have done better... (archive)

If I look at the Z8 (interior and exterior), the engine selection and the price I think BMW could have done way better....after many years of rumor and secret development by BMW, BMW has created nothing but a fake wanna be "exotic sport & classic" car.
Yes it will be fast, so is a GM, it will have a V8, so does GM , it's a convertible, so has GM....why wasting your time by comparing the Z8 with Ferrari or a Porsche turbo...etc. The Z8 is not even in the same league. The Z8 should be compared to the Corvette or something similar....
Just because of the price (which is a joke) you think you can compare the Z8 with Ferrari or a Porsche Turbo. A Ferrari and a Porsche Turbo are in a another, 'higher' league. BMW is trying to create a image the Z8 doesn't have.... Sorry after beeing an BMW enthusiast for over 20 years I think the Z8 is the worst product they have ever created. Those who pay 130k for a Z8 should look around and see what else you might get for that money ! You would be suprised about the other cars (more stylish & sophisticated) you could buy for 130k.
